Using the EV6 V2L to power a BBQ down the Bay - tidy or completely mad, mun?

Right mun, had the boys round after the Wales v England match. Decided to crack out the EV6’s V2L cable for a BBQ right by the Cardiff Bay barrage. Thought I’d be clever, but the grill kept tripping the inverter! Ended up just using the Pod Point down by Mermaid Quay. My cousin up the Rhondda reckons it’s just a gimmick for soft city boys, typical valleys banter! Has anyone actually used V2L for something practical without it cutting out? The 3.6kW output sounds tidy on paper, but is it worth the faff? Cheers.

Ey up. Sounds bloody mad to me, lad. I’d just plug my Model 3 in at the InstaVolt in Pwllheli and buy a burger. The weather down the Bay is usually grim anyway. To be fair, V2L is a tidy trick, but with InstaVolt at 79p a kWh, you’re burning cash to cook a bloody sausage! Stick to charcoal and save your pennies.
