Ey up. Anyone else's Model 3 heat pump sounding like a bloody Concorde taking off when it's this nippy out? I was parked outside the Tesco in Harrogate yesterday, and the thing was whining away like mad trying to pre-condition the battery. Cost me an arm and a leg in juice too, lad. It’s 4 degrees out here and the bloody range just drops off a cliff. I’m on the Octopus Go tariff at 9p a unit at home, but when I’m out and about using the InstaVolt chargers down the A1, it’s costing me 79p a kilowatt! Absolute daylight robbery. Anyone got a trick to stop the cabin from sounding like a wind tunnel when the heater's on full blast? Cheers.

Alright mun! My EV6 doesn’t sound like a jet taking off from Cardiff Bay, but I reckon Tesla’s heat pumps are notoriously loud when it’s freezing. To be fair, as long as it’s keeping me warm on the M4 after a rugby match, I’ll let it whine. Just be glad you’re on Intelligent Octopus, otherwise that extra heating draw will cost you a tidy packet! Check if the fan is iced up?
