MG4 or BYD Dolphin — owners, what do you think?

Two of the most talked-about value EVs in the UK right now — the MG4 and the BYD Dolphin. Both around £26-29k new, both with long warranties, both with the price tag of a small family hatch.

Owners of either: what's the real-world ownership like? Range in winter, infotainment niggles, dealer experience, insurance costs? Trying to help a friend decide.

Dolphin owner here. The interior feels a step above the MG4 and the rotating screen is a party trick that actually works well. Winter range is honest — about 80% of the WLTP on cold days. Insurance was surprisingly OK for me.
