Dealer trade-in offers for a 21-plate Ioniq 5 - taking the mickey?

Right, I’m thinking of upgrading to the facelift Ioniq 5, but the main dealer down in Exeter quoted me an absolute pittance for my 2021 model. They offered £18k for it with 28,000 miles on the clock, which feels like a right rip-off. I’ve spent the last few weekends cruising the B3237 coastal road, dodging tractors and squeezing past the blasted narrow lanes near Clovelly, and the car’s been absolutely mint. Was going to celebrate with a massive cream tea in Lynton, but this dealer offer’s put me right off. Anyone else flogging their Ioniq 5 right now? Did you just bite the bullet with a dealer, or is it worth the faff of selling it privately on AutoTrader? Cheers, Dawn.

Aye, they’re taking the mickey. Dealers lowball EVs out of pure fear. I took my Polestar 2 to a dealer near Edinburgh and got offered peanuts. Ended up selling privately after a brilliant Highland run for a whisky dram. To be fair, English drivers wouldn't know how to handle the A9 anyway, too busy crawling on the M25. I reckon you'd get a better deal swapping on InstaVolt forums. What mileage are you on?
