A9 rapid chargers at Blair Atholl - taking the mickey in the freezing cold?

Right, just got back from a run up to Aviemore in the Polestar 2. Beautiful Highland drive, but absolute misery on the way back. Stopped at the InstaVolt at Blair Atholl. Freezing rain, naturally. Plugged in, and the thing was barely pulling 45kW, capping my battery at 38p a unit. Took nearly 40 minutes to get enough juice to reach Edinburgh. Is it just my car being a diva in the cold, or are these chargers taking a kip? Had some absolute muppet from down south in a leased Q8 e-tron hogging the other bay, completely oblivious while I shivered. Anyone else’s Polestar struggling to hit peak charge rates when the Cairngorms are looking like a snow globe? Might just need a dram of Talisker to forget it.

Mate, you're dead right. Blair Atholl in the freezing cold is grim. Up here in Manchester it's bucketing down again, so I'm just glad I'm not stuck up the A9 instead of heading to the Etihad. Took the ID.3 up to the Lakes last month and the InstaVolt chargers were freezing. Still, beats paying 79p a kWh. I'd rather wait in the car and grab a banger from the Curry Mile when I get home. You on Intelligent Octopus for home top-ups?

Alright bab! That A9 at Blair Atholl sounds absolutely bostin' awful, especially in the Scottish freeze! I reckon the cold really knackers the MG4's battery pre-conditioning. Down here on the M6, InstaVolt usually keeps me right, but up there? Madness. I'd rather brave the M5 traffic for a decent balti than freeze me cobs off waiting on a slow charger! Did you manage to get a decent charge rate or was it taking the absolute mickey?
