Overview
The Leapmotor T03 is one of the cheapest new cars - electric or otherwise - on sale in Britain, offering genuine EV ownership at a price that undercuts almost everything else. Its 37.3kWh battery delivers up to 165 miles of WLTP range, while the 70kW front-mounted motor (95hp) is perfectly suited to urban driving, with a 0-62mph time of 12.7 seconds and a top speed of 81mph. DC rapid charging at up to 48kW takes the battery from 30 to 80 per cent in around 36 minutes, and a 6.6kW onboard charger handles home charging overnight. Despite its compact dimensions, the T03 seats four comfortably with a practical 210-litre boot, and comes comprehensively equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen, reversing camera and full safety pack as standard. Priced from £15,995 - or just £12,995 with the £3,000 LEAP-GRANT - it is an astonishingly affordable city EV.Want the full picture? Read our independent reviews and buying guides.
